High-Risk pregnancy programme expands to third district in Uttar Pradesh

Our Integrated High Risk Pregnancy Tracking & Management (IHRPTM) programme has begun its operations in Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh. This is the third district in the state after Sambhal and Shravasti, where we will train 650 specialists, medical officers (MOs), community health officers (CHOs), Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs), and staff nurses in six high-risk pregnancy protocols, in this first phase.

The inaugural session began with the training of master trainers in the presence of the District Magistrate of Kaushambi and other key officials from the district.

As part of strengthening frontline care, the IHRPTM programme also includes a WhatsApp-based ANM support system, enabling ANMs to quickly access guidance for risk assessment, tracking, and timely decision-making. By combining structured training with on-demand digital support, the programme ensures faster clinical responses, improved referral practices, and enhanced quality of care – ultimately reducing maternal and child mortality and morbidity
