ARMMAN extends partnership with the Health Ministry for Kilkari and Mobile Academy

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has extended the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ARMMAN to continue implementation and augmentation of the Kilkari and Mobile Academy programmes across 27 states in India.

ARMMAN has been implementing Kilkari and Mobile Academy since 2018, in partnership with MoHFW, having impacted the lives of over 58 million women and children, and trained more than 5,00,000 health workers till date.

Kilkari was also showcased at the parliamentary session by the Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare, Ms. Anupriya Patel, emphasizing the significance of the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) calls and WhatsApp messages, in supporting women during pregnancy and infancy. The achievements of the programme were highlighted, further acknowledging the critical contribution of Kilkari in improving maternal and child health indicators in the country.

Moving ahead, we will disseminate multimedia content via WhatsApp in addition to Interactive Voice Response (IVR) placing greater emphasis on addressing high-risk factors, and challenges with regard to gender and equity, and expand both the programmes across the country by 2025-26.
