ARMMAN’s Malnutrition programme begins in Nashik, Maharashtra
The Swasth Kadam programme has been launched in Nashik, Maharashtra to address malnutrition among children aged 0-36 months. The launch event, held on 31st January 2025 at the Urban Primary Health Center CIDCO Nashik, was attended by key officials from the Nashik Municipal Corporation Health Department, representatives from Navjeevan Foundation (our NGO partner), and the ARMMAN team.
Through the programme, we provide individualised advice and information about health and nutrition to caregivers of underweight children via live telephonic calls and WhatsApp to prevent their decline into severe malnutrition and support their recovery. We are currently implementing the intervention in Mumbai, Palghar, Thane and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra, where we have reached 9,800 caregivers via telephonic counselling and sent information to 26,400 caregivers via WhatsApp messages.
