ARMMAN has launched an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered chatbot as part of the MaMitra programme in Mumbai to help women access reliable, evidence-based information on pregnancy and infant care. Available in Hindi and Marathi via text and voice messages, the chatbot is now being used by more than 1,300 women, providing round-the-clock answers to their health related queries in the language and format of their choice. Developed in partnership with ARTPARK (Indian Institute of Science), the chatbot will soon be expanded to all MaMitra users across the city.
MaMitra, implemented in partnership with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), aims to strengthen the public health system by ensuring accurate records of pregnant women and mothers, while also tracking high-risk pregnancies and providing women with essential health information.
