ARMMAN won the BusinessLine Changemaker Award 2026 in the Digital Transformation category, one of eight winners recognised across six categories for using mobile applications, text infrastructure, chatbots, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to scale up maternal and child healthcare tracking across rural India.
The BusinessLine Changemaker Awards celebrate individuals, institutions, and organisations that have introduced pioneering ideas to drive positive social and economic impact in India. At the ceremony held in New Delhi in September 2026, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the awards to this year’s group of changemakers.
The award recognises ARMMAN’s technology-led approach to maternal and child healthcare. By reaching millions of pregnant women and mothers with timely health information and equipping frontline health workers to identify and manage high-risk pregnancies across 27 states and Union Territories, ARMMAN is helping reduce maternal and child mortality and morbidity in India.
Accepting the award, Chief Executive Officer Gaurav Shah said, “We adopt a unique Tech Plus Touch model that combines deep mobile phone penetration and the existing infrastructure of government and NGO partners to empower women and train health workers across India.”
